Aberdeen is where Rev. Sarah first started meeting people in her ministry on the Harbor, over three years ago– in homeless camps, under bridges, in back alleys and squats. From an informal network of relationships with folks on the street and a small handful of volunteers from St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, this group has caught fire!

We’ve met tremendous homeless leaders who have stepped up to assert their rights and organize for their survival–from fighting against encampment evictions to the establishment of the county’s first church-hosted tent cities. Our weekly dinners can bring in a crowd of over one hundred people. Regular Aberdeen programs include:

  • Sunday dinner at St. Andrew’s (400 E 1st St, doors open and coffee served starting at 2pm, dinner at 4:30pm),
  • Wednesday sandwiches, snacks and coffee under the South Side bridge (10:30am-12:30pm, meet at St. Andrew’s and walk to the bridge), and
  • Our programs are free and open to all. No judgment, no drama!
