Chaplains on the Harbor is seeking a full-time Operations Manager, with benefits and a starting salary of $52k-54k (commensurate with experience).

The COH Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing cash flow and budget developments, and regularly reporting on these to the executive team, staff trustees, and board
  • Reviewing contracts
  • Ensuring compliance and managing reimbursements with funding bodies
  • Monitoring accounts
  • Researching funding opportunities
  • Working with the Development Director to apply for county, state, and federal grants
  • Managing operational and financial software and databases
  • Working with the executive team and staff trustees to develop policies and procedures, collective decision-making protocols, and clear parameters for our supportive employment program
  • Tracking relevant city, county, state and federal data and reporting on this to other staff
  • Other duties as assigned (including but not limited to: filling in at outreach programs, assisting with farm projects, office cleanup, and other needs as they arise)


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an organization that prioritizes the leadership of poor, formerly-homeless, and formerly-incarcerated people
  • Ability to work well with people of all backgrounds
  • Commitment to COH’s mission, vision, and values


Preferred:

  • Personal experience of homelessness, poverty, incarceration, and/or recovery from chemical dependency
  • 2-3 years experience working in regional social services
  • 2-3 years experience managing reimbursements, bookkeeping, or other financial oversight responsibilities
