Advocacy

We believe that people should not live in or die from poverty in the richest nation ever to exist

Our Advocacy Work

We have sent staff leaders to represent us in North Carolina with Raise Up! Fight for $15, to Washington DC with the Poor People’s Campaign, and Mississippi to partner with local human rights groups working on cooperative farming, prisoners rights, and poverty abolition.

During his visit to the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia, Presiding Bishop Curry joined Chaplains on the Harbor for a march through Aberdeen and spoke at a rally for affordable housing on the steps of City Hall.

Mashyla Buckmaster of Chaplains on the Harbor spoke about her experience with homelessness at the Mass Meeting of the Poor People’s Campaign in Seattle.
